Think about that for a minute. You do not have to sell the advertising. Google sells the ads, but they need you to get website traffic to click on them.

There are many instances of websites with only 100 back-links that outrank websites with thousands of links and the reason for this is because those 100 back-links are all of a high quality. 3. The third myth deals with only linking to your homepage, and this myth is extremely difficult to get rid of, as it does hold some truth. Generally a good rule to follow is that your homepage should have more back-links than any of the other pages on your website. What creates the myth in the first place is when people begin building back-links to their website and ignore the inner pages completely. Keep in mind that so long as you make it a habit to effectively inter-link your inner pages, then every link to every page will increase the strength of your complete website and if you want your link building to look natural then every page should get at least a few back-links so that is looks as it is occurring naturally.

Whether it’s a keyword phrase that is highly competitive, or a longtail phrase with less competition, it ultimately comes down to getting quality backlinks if you want to rank on Google.

Target a keyword phrase that has less competition, but gets an adequate amount of monthly searches. You can dig into this more to determine exactly what that means.

Here’s the problem you’re going to run into. Even if you get your site ranked on page 1 of Google, once you move on to building another site and ranking it, you may find the position of your previous site dropping.

This is the real problem with the philosophy of telling people to build one website every month and get ranked. Ultimately with this philosophy you would have 12 websites bringing in money in one year.

If you wanted to pick the pace up on that you could build one website and get it ranked per week. This means you would have around 50 websites bringing in money after one year. That is a real online home business!

The problem is not spending time researching good niches. The problem is not getting the sites built and even getting them ranked. Although that does take time.

The problem is keeping your site ranked high enough that they are bringing you quality traffic that leads to income for you in the future. So what is the solution?

The solution is to outsource getting backlinks. You can get an overseas worker for around $300 a month. Find somebody who’s a specialist on getting backlinks via blogging, article marketing, edu and .gov sites, and so on.

Plan on paying this person for the rest of your life if you want to keep your websites ranked on Google to make money.
